Two years after Shota suddenly and tragically passed away, pieces of his unrealised dream to break into the business of producing music for movies and documentaries will see the light of day, released on a short compilation album titled Melting.

The album will be released on November 30, and is coming in a single regular edition.

While many people only knew Shota as the guitarist in the band ADAMS, performing on stage was by no means his ultimate professional dream. He was openly planning to eventually leave ADAMS behind at the end of their journey and leave the stage to pursue his dream of producing cinematic scores. He was working on an instrumental project to release as a solo artist to serve as a first step on this journey.

His unfortunate passing has left this dream of his lingering in the air, unfinished. Two years later, four songs that had actually been mixed and validated by him will be released, accompanied by a raw recording of a guitar solo that had been recorded less than 24 hours before he collapsed on stage during a concert in Warsaw, Poland. There were more unfinished songs that he had in the works, but out of respect, those will not be revealed.

The first three songs on the CD, Melting, Trick, and Oxeye Daisy, were supposed to be a part of an instrumental project; the fourth song, Down the Rules, was intended to be released as the first promotional single for an upcoming pop solo album. Each of these songs also had a promotional video planned to accompany it, however, those could not be completed.

If you are interested, the CD is up for preorder on HIGHFeeL’s official site, where you can also read further details about the songs and planned videos.

May Shota’s dream live on through his music.
