After announcing two live-limited singles a few days ago, the Raid. set yet another release on the calendar, expected to come out on August 2. It will be a new single titled Urameshia (ウラメシヤ), which music video is available below! This one, however, will be available worldwide in nothing less than six editions.
In the music video, we see a boy being outcasted by his classmates at school in most of the scenes. Meanwhile, the band plays the song alternatively inside the classroom, at the schoolyard, or at the gymnasium.
By the middle of the song, a student throws a paper ball targeting the protagonist, which causes everyone to laugh. The teacher seems to notice the incident but he continues with the lesson anyways. In the lyrics, the boy asks for the teacher’s compliment, leaving a clear message: Teachers should be helpful and comprehensive towards students and they must take the initiative in this kind of situation.
Then, there’s a scene where the students form a circle while laughing at him. This could be representative of the feelings of loneliness and abandonment the protagonist is going through. And finally, although he is sorry, he makes the weak choice and jumps off the window.
During the whole video and also in the promotional images of the band, we can see chrysanthemums. This flower, especially the white ones, are often used as a symbol of death in most cultures.
