New single by Blu-BiLLioN S.O.S will be out on the February 3. This release will be out in three editions: regular which will contain four tracks, one which contains a DVD with the S.O.S music video and the other will contain behind the scenes footage.

Their track Refrain will be used in the new live-action film “Hakuoki SSL ~ sweet school life ~ THE MOVIE” (薄桜鬼). This film is a spin-off of the game Hakuoki: Shinsengumi Kitan, a romantic shoujo game which has pulled the heart strings of many among the female crowd. We’re no experts in shoujo games, so we’ll leave it to the experts at Otaku Mode:

Hakuoki is a romantic adventure game released in 2008 by Idea Factory. It is available on a wide range of consoles, including the PS2, PSP, DS, and as apps. It takes place during the Bakumatsu era and the story follows playable main character Chizuru Yukimura and characters from the Shinsengumi.
Its high popularity has led to development into various other media including TV anime, movies, stage plays, and musicals. Even now, seven years since the series began, its popularity is high and various collaborations are in the works.
Hakuoki SSL, to which a TV drama and stage play have been announced, is a spin-off ofHakuoki. It takes place at a modern day academy where the characters are a mix of high school students and teachers. It’s quite different from the series’ Bakumatsu setting, and unlike the original series doesn’t include any bloody scenes.

Well, it sounds like a field trip for those who love romance dating sims, and from the trailer it seems like loads of laughs, so why not give it a go?
