The first footage from the upcoming Attack on Titan live action movie has been revealed and was broadcasted during a morning show on Nippon TV.
From the first sneak peak, it is clear that live action will not take place during the same timeline as the manga/anime, but rather in a post-apocalyptic era as speculated (after all, we did see one of the characters holding a RPG).

“Shingeki no kyojin: Zenpen” (Attack on Titan: First Part) is scheduled to be released in Japan in August this year.
Hopefully the movie will still retain the dark and gloomy aspect of the series and of course, just as violent.
