kein’s first full-length album in three years, Iustitia sine misericordia, is just around the corner, arriving October 7. On October 3, kein uploaded an album preview to YouTube, offering fans their first glimpse into the band’s latest work.
From the ominous opening track Superbia, the funky guitar riffs of Cradle Lull, to the sentimentally playful The Messy-Haired Grimalkin, the preview reveals an album with plenty of variety. The preview of Amaoto no Kioku (雨音の記憶), a self-cover of a track originally released in 1999, sounds particularly profound, serving as an evocative pivot point within the album.
Take a listen below and get a first taste of what Iustitia sine misericordia has in store.
