GUMMY unveiled their second music video, Zouka (造花), on August 25. The new track is featured on GUMMY’s second EP, GIVE ME CHOCOLATE, and showcases a mellow side to the band.

Compared to GUMMY’s debut music video Koori no Ketsumatsu (氷の結末), Zouka heads in a moodier direction. GUMMY plays through the track in an empty, dimly lit music venue. The slow-tempo track adds to the intimate atmosphere. As usual, GUMMY are sporting their signature appearances as rock stars in drag. While the track itself may lean in a slower direction, the angst of previous releases still remains in the instrumental. Aside from a slower tempo, Gara’s heart-wrenching vocal lines also differentiate from the unfiltered energy in GUMMY’s previous release.

Zouka is the final track on GUMMY’s second EP, GIVE ME CHOCOLATE, released physically September 3. GIVE ME CHOCOLATE features a total of six tracks, all of which indulge in a classic rock sound. While their first EP, GIVE ME GUMMY, featured a lot of high-tempo chaotic tracks, the new EP adds a softer flavor to their repertoire. So far, there is no announcement of when GIVE ME CHOCOLATE will be releasing on streaming services. However, GUMMY’s first EP, GIVE ME GUMMY, has now received a streaming release on September 3. Links for both EPs’ purchase and streaming details can be found below.
