Visual kei greats have bravely forayed into the alcohol industry before. Take Y by YOSHIKI wine, for fans who want to dramatically swirl a fine vintage while contemplating a classical orchestra. While these efforts are noble, a catastrophic gap remained: an approachable, every day beer for visual kei fans to enjoy at the livehouse or at home—until now.

In response to this crisis, a new lineup of visual kei themed beers has entered the market, inspired by your favorite artists! These craft beers are produced by the microbrewery Endless Grain, the first operation of its kind dedicated to producing quality, affordable craft beer for visual kei fans, by visual kei fans.

Each brew channels the spirit of the scene with bold flavors, and just enough alcohol to convince you that you sound amazing while singing karaoke. Priced at a modest 2,406 JPY per six-pack (401 JPY per can), Endless Grain also leaves enough money in your wallet for cheki, band merch, and other poor financial decisions.

Launching in Japan this month and shipping worldwide via forwarding services, Endless Grain finally brings beer and visual kei together. Check out the exclusive lineup below!

Marmalade Chainsaw IPA

Let’s play with the chainsaw. Inspired by the intense duality of DIR EN GREY, Marmalade Chainsaw IPA ushers in the new age culture of beer. Crisp, aggressive, and slightly unsettling, this unfiltered hazy IPA starts smooth before slamming into blast beats of juicy citrus you’ll want to drain away. Brewed for fans who need something cold and refreshing while processing whatever vulgar display just unfolded on stage.

  • Tasting notes: Amber hops, tropical citrus, obscurely hazy
  • Best enjoyed: During breakdowns, both musical and personal
  • Fan review: “I’m not sure what I just drank, but I respect it.”

LEMONed Sour Smoothie Ale

You’ll scream for LEMONed! Inspired by the legendary guitarist hide, this sour fruit smoothie ale is a psychedelic visual shock of tangy fruits softened by sugary pink lactose. Sour lemon and sweet guava rocket dive into a sensory experience that tastes like riding on an assembly of pink clouds. Thick, tart, and unapologetically loud, this brew is great for summer festivals or sharing with friends.

  • Tasting notes: Lemon, guava, lactose, electric cucumber
  • Best enjoyed: In direct sunlight, so everyone can see how pink it is
  • Fan review: “Surprisingly drinkable, for something that looks like neon pink hair dye.”

Venom Snake Wine Infused Ale

Become the viper of the pit. Inspired by JILUKA’s relentless ferocity, this dangerously bold ale is infused with Habushu—a Japanese sake brewed using venomous pit vipers—because ordinary beer just isn’t metal enough. Sharp, savage, and bordering on overkill, Venom delivers a biting finish designed to wake you up faster than a sudden metal breakdown at full volume. While it may not improve your singing skills, you may suddenly become imbued with the ability to rap.

  • Tasting notes: Elite Grain Malt (EGM), numbness, legally questionable ingredients
  • Best enjoyed: Before entering the pit
  • Fan review: “I can’t feel my face. But in a cool way.”

Endless Grain is not responsible for Venom-related side effects.

With Endless Grain’s debut lineup now available, visual kei fans can finally enjoy a beer built for their needs: affordable, flavorful, and strong enough to last an entire festival day.

Officials urge fans to drink responsibly. While the brews may enhance the live experience, they will not improve your singing voice, cheki luck, or chances of being noticed by the guitarist.
