CODOMO DRAGON released their 25th single UNPRAY!! on September 8. Taking the initiative ahead of time, the band dropped the title track’s music video, bringing intensely flashy visuals to gigantic screens.
The enclosed three-screen setup serves as the set for their melancholic, yet heavy and discordant number. What’s unleashed is a flurry of dancing lasers, colorful explosions, billowing smoke, and shifting shapes, amongst other instances, as the barely visible band members perform. How they’re captured, shaking and rotating the camera, considering everything else, portrays a lonely worldview.
The music video wouldn’t be complete without CODOMO DRAGON, matching that energy with vocalist Hayato switching between high-energy vocals and whispering, guitarist Yume’s screeching guitar, bassist meN-meN’s low rumbling bass, and drummer Chamu’s punchy playing.
Single UNPRAY!! released in one type with a 24-page booklet and three songs on CD, including the title track, the second song Leave Me Alone, and the third song is a re-recording of I’m crying alone on the battlefield. The music video for UNPRAY!! features on the DVD alongside its making-of.
CODOMO DRAGON has changed the font of their logo a while back, with M as a crown. Meanwhile, their smaller, layered, compact logo is a Dolce & Gabbana initials-inspired logo. The band is adorned in mainly darker colors with green light glowing behind them.
