TK from Ling tosite sigure announced that an unreleased new song “first death” has been chosen as one of the weekly ending themes for the TV anime Chainsaw Man which will begin airing on October 11.
During a premier screening event, it was revealed that Chainsaw Man will feature a different ending theme song for each episode. TK from Ling tosite sigure will be among a powerhouse lineup that includes MAXIMUM THE HORMONE, Aimer, Eve, and Vaundy, to name a few. Kenshi Yonezu sings the opening theme song “KICK BACK”.
After the huge popularity of “unravel”, which was used as the opening song for the 2014 TV anime Tokyo Ghoul, TK became well renowned in the anime world. Chainsaw Man is already one of the most-anticipated anime of 2022, and the announcement of TK’s participation has anime fans even more hyped.
At the moment, there is not much information on the new song itself, however we expect more details to be revealed at a later date. In addition, an interview with TK will appear in the October issue of “SWITCH” magazine, which will feature the anime Chainsaw Man as its cover story. The magazine goes on sale in Japan on September 20.
TK included a comment for this project:
The blood that oozes from the story and the drawings has made me a permanent and perfect organ.
I pick up the chainsaw that resides within me and dedicate all my killing power to this work.
Is the Nobel Prize mine?
The Chainsaw Man anime is based on the manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto and is animated by Studio MAPPA. Chainsaw Man will be streamed internationally on Crunchyroll.
