Starting May 20, deadman will release five previous albums across subscription streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Pandora. Currently, these albums are highly coveted and difficult to obtain even at CD stores in Japan. You could say this is the first time their past discography will be easily accessible to the world.
The five albums released between 2000 and 2006 include “site of scaffold”, “no alternative”, “701125+2”, “in the direction of sunrise and night light”, and “Degrees Centigrade” (℃).
deadman will also host a solo live concert “endroll2006 / endroll 2022” at Shibuya Spotify O-EAST on May 23. Support players include members of deadman at the time of their hiatus in 2006—bassist Kazuya, and drummer Toki. Kazuya and Toki also participated in the re-recording of tracks for deadman’s best-of album “I am here”.
General sale tickets are available to the public starting April 16. Despite the performance falling on a Monday, fan club tickets were flooded with applications, leaving only a small number of tickets available for general sale.
With goth looks and alternative sound, deadman remains a cult favorite for fans of the grittier, unpolished Nagoya kei style. deadman was formed in 2000 and entered hiatus in 2006. In 2019, deadman resumed activities as vocalist Maco and guitarist aie along with support musicians. Members Kazuya and Toki rejoined the lineup to record their best-of album “I am here”, released in January 2022.
