The anonymous band MISTRESS OF THE DARKROOM made itself first known to the world late last year, revealing “Black Death” or formally “bubonic plague” as its thematic concept. Following the footsteps of the dark sound from the first single MY RAVEN BLACK, the mysterious band is now back with a new dark song, Sovereign, released on February 14.
The lyrics of Sovereign are written by the member “Aina Le Sombré Romanov” and feature guest vocalist Emilypemly. Contrary to the Japanese lyrics last time, Sovereign is mainly sung in English but once again, also incorporates a language that mimics a mix of ancient European languages.
