A few months back in autumn, the GazettE opened pop-up stores to celebrate its 19th anniversary and to commemorate its return to the stage with the tour LIVE 2021 -DEMONSTRATION EXPERIMENT- BLINDING HOPE.
The stores were open from September 30 to October 3 at Namba Marui in Osaka, and from October 28 to November 3 at Shinjuku Marui Annex in Tokyo. We took this opportunity to visit the one in Shinjuku!
Shinjuku is a popular destination for fans of visual kei, with several iconic record stores within walking distance of the station, such as Jishuban Club, Like an Edison, and Little HEARTS. We were a little worried that the pop-up store would be full of fans excited about the GazettE’s return, but surprisingly, we were the only customers!

The latest merch wasn’t the only thing for sale! You could also buy T-shirts, albums, and DVDs from the band’s career. What a great way to celebrate their 19th anniversary!
Around the corner from the checkout, there was a photo spot with almost life-sized pictures of the band!
I wonder what the GazettE will bring us in 2022!
