Late in the evening of February 28 in Tokyo, Reol livestreamed an acoustic performance on YouTube labeled under the hashtag #れをるをでんぱとう (#REOLWODENPATOU). The stream lasted an hour consisting of roughly nine songs; notably, the setlist did not only involve her original music but also cover songs of artists like EGOIST, King Gnu, and the singer UA.
You can catch the archived full stream for only a few more days, until March 6 (JST), so make sure to get a full dose of it before it’s gone!
At the end of the stream, a commenter requested Reol to play Somari—a nostalgic song from the 2015 album Gokusaishiki—which prompted her to ponder back in time. After finishing performing it, Reol even surprised herself and mentioned (around 54:30):
Ah, what a lovely song [laughter]! When did I write this song now again? It must have been 2015, about six years ago. Oh crap [has it been that long already?], I was able to write such a piece five and a half years ago?
And for good fortune for the year ahead, Reol ended the stream with the performance of SAISAKI (“good omen”).
