As Hazuki’s solo album Soen-FUNERAL- is nearing its September 16 release, there is now an album preview showcasing each of the songs to dig into. It’s here that Hazuki provides a unique and brilliant alternate perspective with the classical elements brought to the forefront while also highlighting his breathtaking voice.
To settle us in, the lynch. songs hit in first starting with ETERNITY, PHOENIX, and D.A.R.K., before we encounter his original song Keibetsu with its floaty but beautiful melody. The end of this song signals the start of the cover songs, beginning with BUCK-TICK’s sharply detached notes of Misshitsu.
The highlights come in the form of the beautiful piano playing in Kuroyume’s Shijou no Yurikago and the powerful chorus of Pay money To my Pain’s Another day comes. This concludes with Hazuki finishing off on another original song, Tamayura no Hi, with its bright sound.
