XaaXaa (ザアザア) followed up on the announcement of their 17th single with the music video preview for the title track, Horror (ホラー)! The band gets theatrical in the video as they channel Hollywood style horror into every scene. The video begins with what looks like the band enjoying a vacation in a house nestled in the woods, far from civilization. However, the evening takes an unexpected turn for the worse when a masked murderer shows up at their secluded getaway.
Can XaaXaa survive the night or will they be victimized by the hand of their relentless terrorizer? Watch the video to find out!
Admittedly, we thought the video would be a little more serious considering the images that were released for the single. That, and XaaXaa’s record of keeping their themes dark and heavy. Instead, it feels more like a video that entertainingly spoofs Western slasher flicks. We’re not complaining though! As the song is something we can jam out to in between shouting “behind you!”.
The single arrives on April 22 and a preview for it probably isn’t far away. Keep your eyes on us for more updates!
