The much-loved and world acclaimed composer, conductor and pianist Joe Hisashi will be conducting two shows at SSE Wembley Arena, London on September 18–19. He will be conducting the BBC Concert Orchestra accompanied by the symphonic choir of the Crouch End Festival Chorus. Tickets for the original Saturday show were sold out very quickly and so the additional date has been added on Friday. Hurry and buy your tickets soon if you wish to attend!
Perhaps most well known for his collaboration with Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli, Joe Hisashi’s first soundtrack with them appeared in 1986 on Laputa: Castle in the Sky. Even to this day, he continues to compose music with Studio Ghibli, with the most recent being Kuni no Ni which is currently on Netflix. Noteworthy films are extensive, but to name a few, Princess Mononoke, Totoro, and Spirited Away, but we recommend you sneak a peek at his entire discography for insight on truly how amazing this artist is.
