With the release of HYDE’s dual A-side single BELIEVING IN MYSELF/INTERPLAY approaching, previews for the music videos of both songs have been uploaded. Although the audio for BELIEVING IN MYSELF is already available to stream in full, INTERPLAY won’t be available to listen to until the release of the single hits stores on March 18—so this preview will welcome the first taste of what it brings.
The BELIEVING IN MYSELF preview gives us a look into HYDE’s compelling slow-motion performance amongst fast-paced cityscape visuals. A theme befitting to a song that was commissioned for Tokyo Marathon 2020 and aimed to be a motivational piece for the participants.
INTERPLAY is the theme song for a new Pachislot (Japanese slot machines found in Pachinko parlors) model called “Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 (Shin Hokuto Musou)”. This new slot machine theme features an energetic atmosphere in which the INTERPLAY music video and song match with the same intensity. At first glance, the BELIEVING IN MYSELF cover art appears to display a desert horizon. Now with the release of INTERPLAY‘s cover art, featuring a heavily tattooed foot, it can be seen these covers intend to create a single art piece when displayed side-by-side forming the shape of a bare leg. For the CD release, the BELIEVING IN MYSELF cover will feature on the front with the INTERPLAY cover on the reverse side.
