DIR EN GREY has announced the release of their 30th single, The world of mercy set for September 18. This single comes around nine months after their previous release of The Insulated World studio album and music video for Ranunculus—so fans are sure to be eager to hear and possibly see something new from the band.
This single will be released in the usual regular and limited editions, but as seen previously with DIR EN GREY’s releases, a “limited deluxe edition” will also be available. For this, the CD will include the same three-song tracklist as the other editions that include; The world of mercy; DOZING GREEN acoustic version; and GRIEF live version taken from their April 16, 2019, performance at SHINKIBA STUDIO COAST. Alongside that, a choice of either DVD or Blu-ray is available that includes a 10-song live performance taken from their TOUR19 The Insulated World on April 15, 2019, at SHINKIBA STUDIO COAST, and finished off with in-studio footage of The world of mercy recording. This single is available to pre-order in-store and online.
No visuals have been disclosed for the new release yet, but they’re sure to bring something fresh and just as ghoulish as always! Until then, European fans can still ride on the wave of excitement from the recent announcement of DIR EN GREY’s TOUR20 This Way to Self-Destruction European Tour.
