SCANDAL perform a “Masterpiece” in energetic music video

SCANDAL has released the video to their upcoming double A-side single Masterpiece, which will be out March 27 and backed by another new tune, Mabataki. The song itself is a prime slice of Captain Beefheartish riff-rock underpinned by TOMOMI’s swooping, sinewy bass runs and RINA’s rat-a-tat-tat Tommy Gun drumming.

In contrast to older faux performance videos like Awanai Tsumori no, Genki de ne, which featured stacks of Marshall amps, this one does an effective job conveying an actual SCANDAL concert, as the band, projecting effortless cool, energetically mimes to the track in front of a video screen with their touring gear.
