As the release date of Sang approaches, KAMIJO treats us to an audio preview of the songs from the upcoming album. It will be released on March 21, coming in three impressive editions. It releases the same day as the collaborative single of KAMIJO and Hatsune Miku, titled Sang -Another Story-.

Just as with most of KAMIJO’s solo releases (starting with Louis ~Enketsu no la vie en Rose~, and continuing in story-driven Symphony of the Vampire and Heart), the main “hero” of the story of Sang continues to be Louis XVII, whom the singer has adopted as an alter-ego of sorts for his solo career.

In Sang, Louis, who has survived the French Revolution and has been living as a vampire for quite some time, returns to visit 21st century Japan. If you would like to know more about the story of Sang and Louis XVII in KAMIJO’s interpretation, he has published the entire story on his blog, and has also talked about it in a recent interview with JUNGLE☆LIFE.

From the short audio previews alone we can see that KAMIJO delivers top quality work; despite the overarching concept that Sang has, each individual song sounds rather unique. KAMIJO’s smooth voice shines through in each of them, carried on rich and creative symphonic rock melodies.

KAMIJO New Album Sang Trailer#1

The album features eight new songs, three interludes, and the three singles he released in 2017 and 2018 – Castrato, mademoiselle, and Nosferatu.

You may also be interested in knowing that if you purchase any edition of Sang via CDJapan, you will be eligible to take part in an exclusive stream of a mini acoustic concert and a talk show with KAMIJO, which will take place on July 8. CDJapan will announce more details on this at a later date.

The release of album Sang is accompanied by the release of single Sang -Another Story-, which is the musical result of a collaboration project that KAMIJO has done with the vocaloid idol Miku Hatsune.

And if you are feeling extra frisky after that, and want to give the artist some more of your money, there is an official KAMIJO calendar for 2018 coming out on the same date. Because naturally, nobody can tell the King of France when to release a calendar. Three months in? Still good. Let us be honest, the calendar aspect of the calendar is naturally the least important one.

So, are you excited for this avalanche of KAMIJO content? Will you be buying the album? What do you think about the story-driven nature of his releases? Make sure to let us know.
