Kiyoharu continues solo activities with the release of his ninth album Yoru, Carmen no Shishu (夜、カルメンの詩集) roughly translating to “Evening, Carmen’s poetry collection”. We can expect it to come out this month, on February 28.
Guest musicians will feature in Kiyoharu’s album for this occasion, collaborating with guitarist Koichi Korenaga, who participated in the recording process of acts like Aimer, Kalafina or T.M.Revolution and also produced various songs from ONE OK ROCK among many others.
coldrain‘s drummer Katsuma has also collaborated on the album to our surprise. Other participating musicians are guitarist DURAN, Chiei Kobayashi on flamenco guitar, Yuuji Okiyama on bass, and Yosuke (容昌) on percussion.
The album can be pre-ordered in regular and limited edition. The first consists of a 10-track CD including the previously released single Yoru wo Omou (夜を、想う), and live-limited single Aika no Towa (赤の永遠). Limited editions will also include a second CD with a poetry reading of all the songs included in the previous CD, in addition to a bonus track. It will also come with a DVD featuring a music video for Aika no Towa, Nemureru Tenshi and Yoru wo Omou.
Kiyoharu had previously announced that he would be releasing two albums under TRIAD, a sub-label of Nippon Columbia. The first album Elegy, a rhythmless record, came out last year on December 17 containing rearranged and re-recorded songs from Kiyoharu’s extensive discography, including songs from his bands Kuroyume, SADS and his solo career as well. He also released a music video for the rearranged version of 2010’s LAW’S to promote the album:
