How long ago has it been since SiM released new material? It was actually several months ago, in April, when they released the digital single LET iT END, but if you’re like me, one song is not enough, which is why you were probably stoked when they announced their new single, A / The Sound Of Breath! Now, three months after the initial announcement, we are teased with a very short preview of the music video for the titled track, A, which after listening to the preview, you can guess that the “A” in the title stands for “Abracadabra”. This single drops in about three weeks, on December 6. Watch the teaser below!
The single will come in both regular and limited editions, with the regular edition containing only the two songs, whereas the limited edition will include a DVD with SiM’s live at DEAD POPFESTiVAL 2017, where they played classic songs like Blah Blah Blah, KiLLiNG ME, and f.a.i.t.h. Also, included as an extra, the DVD also includes a clip of MAH and GODRi playing against each other in a videogame. A preview for this DVD has also been released and can be seen below.
As mentioned in our initial report of this release, both songs of this single will be used for the upcoming PS4 exclusive videogame, Yakuza Kiwami 2, otherwise known as Ryu ga Gotoku: Kiwami 2 in Japan. While A will be used as the theme song, The Sound Of Breath will be used as the ending theme song. Vocalist MAH has expressed himself as being a great fan of this videogame franchise, so it holds a deep meaning for him to be able to contribute to the game with his and the band’s music.
