Japanese rock trio from Saitama, Ling Tosite Sigure (凛として時雨) will be releasing a new single, DIE meets HARD, on August 23 and have uploaded the full music video which you can watch above.
Panning from room to room, we peek into a variety of scenes with the theme of “worst day of my life”. The video includes comedic scenes of gangsters moving into the flat, gun carrying uncles (looking suspiciously like Bruce Willis from Die Hard) sneaking across the balcony and also a bra thief. All is well until the plot takes a strange turn in each room.
This track will be the opening theme for live action drama, Shimokitazawa Die Hard (下北沢ダイハード) which may explain the humorous music video. Here is a little about this show:
Snack bar owner (Eiko Koike) and her regular patron (Arata Furuta) tell 11 different stories about the worst day in the lives of people in their neighborhood of Shimokitazawa, Tokyo. One of those instances involves a Tokyo politician being kidnapped during an S&M session.”
