Japan’s pop-rock giants FLOW unleashed their ultimate collection of anime songs on CD in Europe on November 11, 2016 through JPU Records. Entitled ANIME BEST KIWAMI, the 18-track compilation has already proved popular overseas, with ten videos from the album having accumulated more than 50-million plays outside of Japan on YouTube.

ANIME BEST KIWAMI crams 14 of FLOW’s most popular tracks that have been used as theme songs in anime, including the Dragon Ball Z, Naruto and Persona franchises. The band’s first tie-in with Japanese anime, breakout single Go!!!, is of course included. The song managed to stay in Japan’s national chart for 22 weeks and its video has also been viewed close to 14 million times internationally.

Also included is the band’s highest charting single Colors, which peaked at number two in Japan’s Oricon single chart, as well as international fan-favourite Sign from Naruto: Shippuden, FLOW’s most viewed video outside of Japan, experiencing almost 17 million plays. Recent hit Aiaiai ni utarete bye bye bye is also there from part two of Samurai Flamenco (out on Blu-ray in the UK from September 19), which features all five of the band’s members as guest voice actors.

Additional to FLOW’s original songs are three covers of classic anime tracks; Hironobu Kageyama’s era-defining Dragon Ball Z anthem CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA; D☆DATE’s GLORY DAYS; and Ikimonogakaris huge Naruto: Shippuden theme Blue Bird, featuring guest vocals from Diana Garnet, winner of Japanese TV singing competition Nodojiman the World. Plus, a special mix by popular anime song specialist DJ KAZU.
