Japanese all-girl ska-punk band TsuShiMaMiRe (つしまみれ) returns to America next month for a packed schedule of tour dates across the country, tagging along with Texas rock band We Are The Asteroid.
This three piece band is formed of members Mari on guitar and vocals, Yayoi on bass and chorus, and Mizue on drums and chorus. TsuShiMaMiRe have been indie scene favorites since their debut at SXSW in 2004. Since then, they’ve formed their own label Mojor Records, contributed the theme song to the Powerpuff Girls cartoon, and toured America multiple times, building a steady fan base for their spunky loud performances.
