It was announced today (May 15) that Matenrou Opera’s (摩天楼オペラ) guitarist Anzi, who has been a member of the band for eight years, has decided to leave in July.
The announcement was posted to their official website along with comments from each member. Anzi stated his reason for departing is “differences in consciousness and belief”, and that the decision wasn’t recently made, but rather something he’s considered for a long time. He also said that he is proud of his time spent in the band and he’s sorry, but that it’s time for him to choose another path. It should be noted that vocalist Sono, keyboardist Ayame, bassist Yo and drummer Yu will continue in Matenrou Opera as a four-piece band.
Their final concert together will be held on July 22, 2016 in Tokyo, at TSUTAYA O-EAST. More details on that is below.
