Galileo Galilei has announced to disband this upcoming spring. The decision was made by the three members who decided it was time to move on to better things. The message on their website explains that the members cherished the band similarly to how a child cherishes his toy, and now that they have matured and grown, it was time to let go of that toy and move on.
Galileo Galilei’s final release will be Sea and the Darkness, which will release two days from now, on January 27. Afterwards, they will embark on their final tour, titled Sea and the Darkness Tour 2016, that will lead up to their last live together on April 10 at Sapporo PENNY LANE 24.
The members promise to be back sometime in the future. Even though they still don’t know exactly what their future will hold, they promise to be back with good news.
