Japanese rock band BAND-MAID brought World Tour 2026 to The Paramount in Huntington, New York, on October 5, 2026. Known for uniquely combining maid-inspired outfits and hard-hitting rock music, the five-piece band delivered a night packed with powerful instrumentals, playful interactions, and a sneak peek at upcoming music!
With no opening act, the night belonged entirely to BAND-MAID and the fans. At 20:00, vocalist SAKI, guitarist and vocalist MIKU, lead guitarist KANAMI, bassist MISA, and drummer AKANE took the stage wearing their new outfits, giving New York fans their first look at their latest style.
The band wasted no time getting started, opening with ENERGETIC before launching straight into DOMINATION. KANAMI’s guitar work, MISA’s powerful bass lines, and AKANE’s drumming immediately showed the crowd what BAND-MAID does best! The energy continued through HATE?, Choose me, and Protect you, giving the fans little time to catch their breath.
Five songs into the show, the band took its first break to talk to the fans; MIKU chatted with the audience and reminded everyone to be nice to one another. Her other “personality” cluppo briefly took over and said “Peace and love”, bringing a little warmth to an otherwise intense opening segment in windy Long Island.
The break also gave fans a glimpse of the members’ personalities away from their instruments. At one point, AKANE noticed KANAMI’s loose shoelaces and helped tie them for her. It was a small, adorable interaction between two members. The gesture captured the friendship behind the band’s powerful stage presence and made the fans aware that the five were more than just bandmates but rather a family.

Change of pace, MIKU shines with vocals
MIKU then stepped into the spotlight for Brightest Star. Taking over lead vocals from SAIKI, the song gave MIKU her own moment to shine. Despite being known for her playful personality and signature “Po” suffixes, she showed another side of herself as a vocalist.
The performance continued with a brief jam session between MISA and AKANE. The two locked in, putting the spotlight on the band’s rhythm section before transitioning into Toi et moi.
One of the night’s instrumental highlights came during Lock and Load. SAIKI stepped behind a keyboard, joining the rest of the band by adding another layer to the performance. With each member contributing to the arrangement, the song gave the audience a chance to focus entirely on BAND-MAID’s virtuosity.
The middle of the show brought a mix of songs, including Present Perfect, Days, endless Story, and Memorable. The latter half offered a softer moment in the set before the band introduced something new…
The band performed SPIN, its upcoming single scheduled for release on October 28, 2026! The track, composed by KANAMI, has also been selected as the theme for the anime BEYBLADE XΒ . It was an exciting preview of what the band had been working on between tour dates! During the second intermission segment, the members took turns introducing themselves and speaking to the fans.
KANAMI, also known by the moniker “Mincho”, thanked everyone for coming and talked briefly about the new song SPIN. AKANE,Β also known as “A-chan”, or “Gorilla”, expressed how happy she was to be there and encouraged fans to have fun. Then came MISA and her signature stage ritual: With a beer in hand, the bassist raised a toast to the audience, shouting, “Kanpai!” before taking a big drink. The moment brought plenty of cheers from fans. SAIKI also took her turn interacting with the crowd, teaching everyone how to sing along and get more involved.
The members shared a little about their creative process and what comes next for BAND-MAID. MIKU mentioned how much she enjoys writing lyrics, whereas KANAMI enjoys composing the music. The band also explained that the band plans to take a break from concerts next year to focus on creating new songs. Although fans may have to wait a little longer for the next live performance, there is more music on the way!

The signature “Omajinai Time”
MIKU playfully insisted that everyone had to participate in the ritualistic call-and-response, giving the audience little choice but to join in. “It’s you must join or join time, po” as MIKU put it. But the other members had their own plans. While MIKU was busy speaking to the fans, the others started messing around with the keyboard in the background, adding unexpected interruptions to her little performance. It’s this kind of spontaneous interaction that makes BAND-MAID’s live shows so entertaining. One moment, the five musicians are delivering technically demanding rock performances on stage. The next, they are teasing one another like a group of close friends joking around in an Airbnb.
As the night approached its final stretch, the band brought the energy back with SUPER SUNSHINE, Dilly-Dally, and Ready to Rock. The final two songs, NO GOD and Unleash!!!!! pushed the concert to a powerful finish. After nearly two hours onstage, the band gave everything for New York, closing the show without a separate encore.
BAND-MAID’s performance at the Paramount was more than just a showcase of its impressive musical abilities. It was a reminder of what makes the five members so enjoyable to watch live. From KANAMI’s guitar work and AKANE’s drumming to MISA’s beer ritual and the chaotic “Omajinai Time”, each member brought something different to the stage.
Behind the maid outfits and the thunderous chords were five musicians who clearly enjoyed performing together. And for the New York fans who came to see BAND-MAID, that combination of humor and genuine chemistry made the evening memorable.
With SPIN arriving later this month and more music already in the works, BAND-MAID has plenty more to share. For now, its New York performance gave fans a little bit of everything that makes a BAND-MAID concert special!
