After announcing the formation of Fatüm back in April, the stunning visuals of their debut music video Canary were revealed on May 1. This finally demonstrated Fatüm’s vision to the world.
Canary transports you to another world through beautiful nature scenes and exquisite gothic imagery. As the track evolves in intensity, so does the video. The video begins with vocalist SUI delivering soft melodies encased in a sea of nature, and ends with SUI expressing power surrounded by intense gothic imagery. The same can be said for guitarist and vocalist, HIDE-ZOU, starting with gentle guitar embellishments and progressing to bold solos.
Acting as supervisor, the influence of Mana from Moi dix Mois can be seen and heard everywhere. From the gothic imagery to the background instrumentation, Mana’s influence is undeniable, and as a trio, they express powerful emotions through their first showcase, Canary.
Fatüm’s first physical release, Canary, will be available June 24 in two versions, “Lumina ver.” and “Tenebra ver.”. Canary will feature five tracks in total, including an SE track, the lead single, a coupling track, and instrumentals. Coupling tracks will differ depending on the version.
