indigo la End released their latest single, Kagura, on major streaming services February 10. An action-packed music video followed on Friday, February 13.
The new single, Kagura, as usual, features an upbeat rock composition from guitarist and vocalist Enon Kawatami. The dynamic guitar arrangements and catchy vocal melodies, which fans adore, are once again present in Kagura.
Released the following Friday, the action-packed music video for Kagura follows an exciting chase scene from a first-person perspective. In the midst of frantic action scenes, the band can be seen playing their instruments in a moody, dimly lit space.
Kagura will be featured on indigo la End’s ninth album, Michita Murazaki, releasing May 20. In the meantime, Kagura is available on all major streaming services with beautiful hand-painted cover art designed by itsuko kira.
Kagura also marks indigo la End’s first release under Daphnis records within Sony Music Labels. Founded by Enon Kawatami, Daphnis records is inspired by the novel Daphnis and Chloe, exploring the theme of growth through mutual envy of talent. Raisan (礼賛) has also joined indigo la End as the first affiliated artists under Daphnis records.
Details pertaining to the new album Michita Murazaki are sparse, with more details, including artwork and tracklist, coming at a later date. Several versions of the upcoming album Michita Murazaki are available for pre-purchase. The regular edition features the full album. There are also First Press Limited Editions A and B, which, in addition to the initial CD, come with a Blu-ray of the band’s 15th anniversary Budokan performance, Yoru no ai (夜の藍), and a photobook. An additional limited edition will be available containing the CD as well as an original pouch, a scarf, and a photobook.
