BABYBEARD is back with a brand-new single! Following a slate of international appearances, the blisteringly cute Twisted Kaiju Tale began streaming globally on April 26.
Released via overseas distributor Setsuzoku Records, the max-single features full and instrumental versions of the title track Twisted Kaiju Tale and OPTISQUAD. Both tracks are composed and produced by Tokyo-based Swedish musician Endigo of Drag Race Sweden fame, with lyrics by Ladybeard himself.
In homage to a classic kaiju movie, the blisteringly kawaii Twisted Kaiju Tale tells the story of a giant monster rising from the depths to attack Tokyo. The metal onslaught transitions to OPTISQUAD, bringing us sugary-sweet synth-led optimism. This track reminds us to have fun and do what makes us happy. Leave tomorrow’s problems for tomorrow’s you, and live life to the fullest!
