Arlequin celebrates 10 years as a band in 2023 and to commemorate the momentous occasion, they’ll release a best-of album titled ARLEQUIN 10th Anniversary Best ‘- Anthology -‘ on December 21. Accompanying this announcement was the music video for their new song CHOASDIVE which also features on the release.

The wild, but fun heavy jazz-rock number lives up to its name in every sense of the word. There are disorientating angles, sudden tempo switch-ups, vocalist Aki’s deranged vocals, negative visual effects, and more!

That unsettling atmosphere and intensity throughout the CHAOSDIVE music video are amplified by Aki’s makeup trailing down his face, gang vocals, cables hanging from everywhere, and flashing lights.

Best of album ARLEQUIN 10th Anniversary Best ‘- Anthology -‘ comes in regular and limited editions. The regular edition has three discs that consist of CDs featuring a mixture of a-side and b-side songs, and a selection of other songs from their albums.

The limited edition takes that total to four discs with the fourth consisting of a DVD. This features the band’s performance at their own event titled Arlequin Presents ‘Sonosekai-SONOSEKAI-2022’ that took place at Namba Hatch on August 27. The DVD also includes the music video for the song CHAOSDIVE and its off-shot.

The chaotic nature of their music video visuals is also reflected in their artist photos using red and negative image processing.
