Hidden in the deep archives and unearthed after 46 years, an ancient cassette tape was found capturing the monumental “first tour” of Char who revolutionized the music scene with his electric guitar on December 3, 1976. Documenting his performance at the Shinjuku Loft, Japan’s legendary world-class guitar hero’s debut will be released as Char Live 1976 on October 26  via ZICCA RECORDS.

Shining brilliantly in Japanese Rock history, this hidden gem captures the moment when the band was active for a short period of only six months who created the immortal masterpiece, the self-titled Char. Experience the fresh and vibrant band sound of these young players, who later revolutionized the music scene. Band members at this time were Robert Brill on drums, Jerry Margosian the vocalist and keyboardist, George Mastich the bassist, and Jun Sato on keyboard.
