Metal idols Broken By The Scream (BBTS) release their debut album RISE into CHAOS. Made available on July 20, the album contains 12 tracks from a group with a rare combination in the kawaii metal scene. Which is to say, BBTS incorporates two death growl vocalists and two clean vocalists. Yet, they blend these vocals into a unique metalcore mix that busts out loud in songs like Kokoro, Harebare (ココロ、晴レ晴レ).
Like an energy drink in a wind tunnel, their crazy vocals splash around clean and rough at random. That discordant mix is thanks to growlers Nodukidaira Io and Uriin Kagura, while Yabusame Ayame and Nanaougi Tsubaki harmonize for the cleans.
As they display the attractive qualities of an idol group, they are backed by a heavy, melodic sound. Generally, the tracks on RISE into CHAOS feature hard rock guitar riffs, double bass drums, and EDM synths that accentuate the wild vocals.
