DEZERT announces the release of a new album titled RAINBOW out on July 21 while sharing their title-contrasting dark monochromatic new look for the release. With two months ahead of its release date, the band shares a music video for the mellow track Misery Rainbow extracted from the upcoming album. The announcement coincides with the release of the band’s first live Blu-ray/DVD titled DEZERT SPECIAL LIVE 2020 “The Today”, out on May 12.
The music video for Misery Rainbow is taken from footage of their DEZERT SPECIAL LIVE 2020 “The Today” performance of the song in front of a masked-up live audience.
Album RAINBOW contains a seven-track CD in the available limited “Rai” edition and regular “nbow” edition. Inside the CD we can find the band’s latest digital single Your Song, which came out on November 16. The limited edition also adds a second CD, a DVD, and five trading cards randomly selected from a total of 20. Details in regards to the limited edition are yet to be disclosed such as the content included in the additional CD, and DVD, as well as its cover artwork.
The band had been teasing us with three video uploads prior to the release of the full song and music video. The first video, named Phase1, shows a camera focused on drummer Sora while he plays his corresponding part. The Phase2 adds bassist Sacchan to the mix, and finally, guitarist Miyako joins with his guitar in Phase3 to provide a major idea of what Misery Rainbow would sound like before the addition of vocalist Chiaki to the final cut.
