TRIPLE AXE, an amalgamation of three bands consisting of coldrain, SiM, and HEY-SMITH—a total of 15 members altogether—will release their first single titled 15MANIAX on December 23. This has led the group to reveal a trailer previewing songs taken from their powerful online performance “TRIPLE AXE ONE MAN SHOW 2020 -15 MANIAX-“ from September 19.
The preview of the first song leans into SiM’s sinister composition with vocalist MAH’s reggae-influenced vocals complimented by vocalist Masato’s growls. The trailer then transitions to clips of the creation of 15MANIAX alongside a preview of the song ALL FOR NOW featuring MAH furiously rapping.
This comes before the feel-good ska-punk song SiLENT WAR that fully utilizes the brass section in HEY-SMITH. What’s more, you can listen to the SiLENT WAR right now on streaming services. Don’t miss out on hearing one of the hottest collaborations to come out this year!
15MANIAX will have a CD and DVD package and a CD and Blu-ray package both with the same content, however, the latter is of higher quality.
TRIPLE AXE started back in 2012 as a three-man tour between bands coldrain, SiM, and HEY-SMITH and have racked up seven tours in total thus far. For those who may be unfamiliar with who HEY-SMITH is, they are a six-member melodic punk band with a brass section consisting of vocalist and guitarist Igari Shuhei, bassist YUJI, drummer Task-n, saxophonist Mitsuru, trombonist Kanasu, and trumpeter Ken Iikawa.
