SHIN’s eagerly awaited single, RE:, has gone on sale today, August 5. This work is his first and only single since he began recording as a solo artist four years ago. For this release, he is rejoined by bassist IV—formerly of the disbanded ViViD—who now goes by the name MTR. He is credited as the composer of the song, while the charismatic singer SHIN wrote the lyrics. Check it out in the YouTube version of the music video that was previously shared:
RE: is up for grabs in regular or limited edition, with only a slight difference between them. The regular edition of the single includes an acoustic version of jack the ripper, while the limited edition comes with a DVD; it features a different version of the music video, a documentary, and an interview. Both CDs include Poupelle of Chimney Town: a song SHIN was inspired to sing after reading the picture book, “Poupelle of Chimney Town”, by Akihiro Nishino.
Moreover, SHIN will hold a paid livestream for his oneman performance “RE: union”. Once again MTR will join him as a guest. The event will be available on the streaming platform ZAIKO on August 20. For more information visit SHIN’s official website.
