Back on December 18, 2019, JROCK NEWS attended Zepp Diver City, Tokyo for MIYAVI’s No Sleep Till Tokyo tour where he revealed his plans to release not one, but two albums in 2020. We are now finally getting the first installment as the guitarist announced his 12th album Holy Nights that will drop on April 22.

The first single off the album is titled Bang! and is coming out on digital platforms very soon, on March 25. The second single Need for Speed will be out two weeks later, on April 8.

MIYAVI’s website shares some details about what can be expected on the next project from the samurai guitarist:

Fans can look forward to an album written and recorded in MIYAVI’s signature style while also introducing some fresh sounds as only he can. Holy Nights is comprised of new original material, cover songs and rearrangements of classic MIYAVI tracks that fans will recognize from his live show.

Holy Nights is composed of 12 new songs including a rearrangement of MIYAVI’s 2012 single DAY1, it also features American singer Amber Liu on Perfect Storm, and Dutch singer and pianist FÄIS on Live to Dream. The album is now available for pre-order in three editions with gorgeous cover artwork. Limited edition A adds a DVD featuring MIYAVI’s concert held on December 18, 2019, at Tokyo Zepp DiverCity. Limited edition B comes with a DVD featuring a documentary of the No Sleep Till Tokyo 2019 world tour.
