lynch.’s lastest music video XERO takes us deeper into the industrial factory, where vocalist Hazuki lets out a scream that sent chills up our spines! The song is taken from their newly released album, ULTIMA, which hit stores across Japan today. Check it out and tell us what you think!
The band performs on walkways both together and individually as cold light and vibrant red lights flash within the brutalist structure, emphasising the mechanical and drone-like sound from the guitar and clean-sounding drums.
These elements perfectly lead us into the relentless XERO that wastes no time getting straight into the core of the song. Asanao pummelling the drums, Akinori greeting us with bass slaps early on and guitarist Yusuke and Reo all do an excellent job in staying true to lynch.’s sound. However, what took us by complete surprise was Hazuki’s impressive pig squeal during the chug-filled breakdown, leaving us with goosebumps.
The band also pre-released the sixth track, IDOL, to further promote the album and from the get-go, there is this extremely sinister vibe with a ghastly and scary tone and buzzing riffs. Another thing that caught us by surprise was the malfunctioning sound introducing the fuzzy and distorted solo, leaving us wanting more.
Do yourself a favour and buy the album if you haven’t already because I can assure you, it is one hell of a banger!
