UVERworld recently revealed their brand new group photo for the single Touch off—out on February 27—where we see the band being featured on a roadside hologram-like billboard. Along the new band visuals, details such as the artwork and tracklist have been made public.
Title-track Touch off can also be found in the currently-airing anime The Promised Neverland where it is used as the theme opening song, and you can actually listen to the 90-second version of it during the opening sequence of the anime. Listen to the official 90-second anime version of the song here, although it is restricted to Japanese residents only. The video below is an unofficial upload of the anime version.
Touch off mixes EDM with an acoustic sound that introduces the main body of the song with Seika’s saxophone, a cue for vocalist TAKUYA to enter. After that, however, it becomes rather difficult to distinguish where the bass and other guitar is in the song as those elements previously mentioned overpower everything else.
The regular edition contains title-track Touch off, second track ConneQt and the instrumental for Touch off. Limited edition contains an additional CD of two songs from their Nippon Budokan -QUEEN’S PARTY- and two songs from Yokohama Arena -KING’S PARADE- performance on December 21. If you didn’t know already, in recent years, UVERworld holds gender-specific performances so -QUEEN’S PARTY- is women only while -KING’S PARADE- is male only. There will also be an anime edition that will have the same three songs as the regular edition and includes the 90-second, anime version of Touch off as the third track.
