sleepyhead (former SuG vocalist Takeru) made the announcement for his second EP release with meltbeat. A preview of the single has been released and gives us a glance into the dark visual concept of this music video. Despite the visuals, the music preview opens with a cheery violin melody that builds up and shifts into an ambient electronic beat which exhibits key components of the melodic dubstep genre. Intrigued to hear what this mix of instrumentals sounds like? Watch the preview below!
The single will be released in a regular edition which contains a CD with five new tracks including the title track. However, if you get in quick you will have the chance to order the limited edition box, from the million dollar orchestrA website, which holds some exclusive must-have goodies that any fan would find useful. Including the CD single, it also comes along with; a DVD including the meltbeat music video and making-of; sleepyhead and million dollar orchestrA collaborative design Bluetooth earphones; and a “dreamy currency moon chip”. For the new release, a subsequential Japanese tour has also been announced. The LIVE TOUR 2019 -meltbeat- will extend over three months, from March to May, with 10 tour dates. Excitingly, fans in the USA will also have their turn to see sleepyhead live as it was announced that he will be making his overseas and USA debut performance this April. This will take place at the Japanese pop culture convention Tekko being held at David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania between April 11-14.
Along with a live performance, Sleepyhead has also revealed that they will hold autograph sessions, a Q&A panel, and more—so there are lots of opportunities for fans to get involved and interact with sleepyhead. No precise date or time has been affirmed for these events but registration for tickets and passes are currently available through Tekko’s website.
