Kiryu dropped their sixth album Tenshou Rinne (Reincarnation) on November 14 with their draped and bandaged artist photos coming beforehand. However, now the band has revealed their fiery music video for the title-track to accompany its release, where they perform amongst blazing torches and bloody bandages in an underworld-like location, complementing the bandaged costumes the members are wearing.
The song itself starts with Takemasa Kujou’s eerie solo before the dread and anguish of Tenshou Rinne hits in the verses. What I love most is the rapid shouting from guitarist Mitsuki Sakai in the chorus that is both unexpected and incredibly effective. They also implement a few visual effects into the video, such as the stuttering, flickering, and mirroring. There is also the usage of ripple effects, shaking, film grain, and filters that turn the flames blue. Similar flames are edited onto each of the members as well!
Check the music video for Tenshou Rinne, the updated tracklist, and a song breakdown where you can see the band speak about each track from the album, with the song playing in the background.
