Codomo Dragon’s “Toge” music video preview explores negative effects of bullying

Codomo Dragon is soon to release their single, Toge, on July 4, and to make sure we know what we’re getting ourselves into, the band has revealed a music video preview of the title track!

The first thing to pick up on is its undoubtedly heavy sound and Hayato’s low, raspy vocals that change once we arrive at the chorus. It’s here we are greeted with the intense pounding of the drums, the unnerving, ringing guitar, and higher and louder vocals. His voice then becomes altered as it warbles away into the next verse.

The music video preview itself shows a child with a frog head on, possibly attacking someone before interspersing between the band and the story set in a classroom. It also sees a classmate throwing a scrunched up piece of paper at the child who is also tripped up and laughed at. The same child being bullied is also seen in a dark corridor with a sinister look on his face while Hayato is in front of barbed wire covered in a gooey, dripping liquid.
