A year after releasing album IDEAL will see A9 drop another one titled PLANET NINE on April 25. Filling the void until then is the music video for the mysteriously cool fourth track UNREAL. Emanating a summer dance vibe with its sound effects and Nao’s drumming and the guitars amplify this idea even more so, making the piece a really satisfying listen.
Said music video is clear and smooth in its production as the band, without their instruments, are soaked in pink, purple, and, blue neon lighting and left to their own devices. They themselves are not doing much but that’s the beauty of it. All these elements contribute greatly to the overall UNREAL atmosphere of the song so definitely watch it!
This is also another song produced by guitarist Ken of L’Arc~en~Ciel and if you’ve heard his solo material, you’ll definitely understand how his influences have flowed into this.
The album PLANET NINE will come in a regular edition containing 11 tracks including songs Re:Born, PENDULUM and F+IX=YOU while the limited adds a DVD with its contents to be confirmed.
