Sakanaction’s entire discography is now available for streaming on many platforms including Spotify, DEEZER, Google Play and more. In addition to the entire album collection, you can listen to most single released spanning back to Century which was released in 2008. Their online stream collection is just shy of three of their pre-debut singles including—Word, Sample and Night Fishing Is Good which you can listen to on YouTube to complete your Sakanaction spree.
Spotify released a silly video to promote this news—in the classic kooky Japanese style of a guy using books as an outfit:
Did you know that every member of Sakanaction is an adept DJ and are known for giving talks on how to DJ? Casual fans like myself may not have come across their two versions of the remix album Tsuki no Henyou—a selection of released and unreleased tracks injected with a quirky infusion. We recommend you give the remix album a listen after hearing their regular releases as it will not be to everyone’s taste.
This news comes as part of their 10th-anniversary celebration, in line with the upcoming best of album Book of Fishes, a new album and DVD release. Check out the stop motion teaser for their best of the album below:
Their generous move to offer their music on free streaming platforms is very much appreciated, but will they ever leave Asia to perform abroad? Only time will tell. Would you like to see Sakanaction perform in your country? Let us know in the comments!
