About a month ago, the existence of phatmans after school second album Un Chronicle was revealed to the public. Since then the four-man band announced an eight-stop tour around Japan, uncovered the album artwork and limited goods, as well as a short teaser of the opening track Serial recently. Since we’re not far away from the release date of the album, May 18, it seems like it is finally the right time for the band to reveal the full version of music video Serial.
Unlike most of phatmans after school, Serial has a positive tune with a very light feel to it. It’s less busy compared to the band’s typical songs with electronic elements thrown in, but the song is just a refreshing as any of their previous work!
Our protagonist in the music video is of course the mascot bear Pas-kun, however in its human (child) form, struggling to make friends by the virtue of his indelicate nature and threatening appearance.
The kid in blue was about to retrieve his plastic ball, until a flustered Pas-kun picked it up for him.
If our memories serves us right, this is the first very first time the members of the band makes an appearance in a music video, although their faces are hidden by a bunch of salmons.

We haven’t seen any music releases from this band since August, back in 2015, with the single release of FR/DAY NIGHT, which will be included in the album.
