After a couple of years being absent from the music scene BLOOD STAIN CHILD have announced their come back with their new single NEXUS. The single, due to release this summer, has yet to have a specified release date. Don’t fret, you won’t have to wait to hear the full song as the official full-length music video for NEXUS has also been released. As well as a new single and music video, the band have also introduced a new member line-up with Saika (ex- The:ø) on vocals, and Yakky on bass. This means that original member, bassist and vocalist, Ryo has departed from the band, along with their previous vocalist Kiki.

For those who haven’t been introduced to Blood Stain Child before, here’s a short back story for you:

The band originally formed in 1999 under the name Visionquest, but reformed under the current name Blood Stain Child in 2000. They have touched upon multiple genres with each passing album, having their music style spanning from Melodic Death Metal to Electro-industrial, and trance. Since the beginning Blood Stain Child have entertained an ever-changing member line-up with vocalists–and instrumentalists–changing in almost every album release—lead guitarist Ryu is the only remaining original member. However, with each album and vocalist, the individuality that each vocalist brought has allowed Blood Stain Child to transcend and discover a different side of their musical talents in each album. This is why you may find fans of Blood Stain Child whom favor a particular album over others, yet can appreciate the quality and changing musical style of each album. With Blood Stain Child’s newest release we see them reflecting a similar style to their albums Idolator(2005) and Mozaiq(2007), which could be said to be their most favoured works—so make sure you check out the other albums if this new release is a sound you like.
