OUSIA, THE BLACK SWAN’s first album, is less than a month away from its release on April 27! Several hours ago, a tweet was posted to the band’s Twitter account announcing the sampling video above to be published at 22:00 JST. If you weren’t feeling the excitement before, you definitely will be after listening to the trailer!
Unlike your typical multi-type release, the band is giving us something extra to consider when choosing between types A and B. Aside from the DVD exclusive to type A, and the additional tracks on type B, the tracklist arrangements are entirely different from one another, which is sure to leave listeners with different impressions of this release.
An annotation on the band’s website reveals guitarist Itsuki (樹) to be the composer of the ballad track, Souhaku no Kisetsu, bassist RENA the composer of Asmodeus no Yari, and vocalist JIN (儿) and guitarist Makoto (誠) to be the co-composers of Ryuusei, Soukoku no Hai to. And, drummer and pianist Yuu (優) of JIN’s ex-band, NEGA, is the guest musician playing the piano on both Souhaku no Kisetsu, and OUSIA. That’s pleasing news for all NEGA fans, including myself.
Not exactly related to the album, but when the trailer was announced a retweet project was also announced. Anyone who retweets this tweet before April 26 will be entered into a lottery where the winner will we be awarded five cheki (polaroids of the band members). I’m unsure if only residents of Japan are eligible to win since they didn’t specify, but it couldn’t hurt to try since you’ll be spreading the word of one of the most anticipated releases of 2016!
