Today we have two pieces of information to bring you from Gossip; one good and one bad. First off, the bad news. Drummer Hayate has announced to depart from the band. In his message, he explains that he had been wanting to do so for a while now, but the timing wasn’t right, as the band was recently on tour. He also explains that he wanted to wait until the band had found a suitable replacement for him. However, no announcements regarding a new members have been made. Hayate’s last live will be very soon, on February 21 at Meguru Rock May Kan.
If this last piece of info was saddening to you, then perhaps this other piece will cheer you up. Gossip has announced a best album! This album goes on sale on February 24, just three days after drummer Hayate’s departure. The title will be Nomiso kaiten gu-ryu gu-ryu jigoku – kokurekishi-ban – (脳味噌回転愚流愚流地獄-黒歴史盤-) and it will include 15 of the bands greatest songs released so far. Check out the tracklist below!
