Matenrou Opera (摩天楼オペラ) just announced the release of their fourth major album for January 20, 2016!
The announcement came at the end of their sponsored live, Koutetsu Matsuri 2015-Legend of Steeler-; they also opened a new special site revealing an introductory movie titled, SOUND OF GENESIS, along with the title of the album, which is Chikyuu (地球). The new site also shares a few details for the album, which will be sold in regular and limited edition. Both editions feature the same 12 tracks, including three of the band’s previous singles, Chimeishou (from October 29, 2014), ether and BURNING SOUL (both released in 2015 on April 8 and October 20 respectively), while the limited edition offers a bonus track, for a total of 13 songs, and a DVD for their latest music videos, ether, BURNING SOUL, and an undetermined track off the new album.
The band also plans to hold a few in-store events for the release of the album, but locations and dates haven’t been decided yet. More details for that, plus the full tracklist will be available soon!
